So, what is going on?
Upper Achintore and the Plantation are home to around 3000 people representing 15 nationalities. In a survey commissioned by Upper Achintore Regeneration Group in 2023, residents strongly agreed that there was a need for a communal space for social events and groups to gather.
This is where Cow Hill Hall comes in.
A purpose-built space, designed to meet our community’s needs.

The new community space can be all things to all residents - a space suitable for:
Toddler groups
Arts & crafts classes
Bingo
Drama & singing clubs
Fitness/dance classes
Group meetings
Ceilidhs
Funerals
Weddings
And much more…

As well as being a hub of community activity, Cow Hill Hall also has the potential to generate income to make it a sustainable community resource. It could feature:
Café/bar area
Commercial rooms to let
Chargeable motorhome parking
Electric car charging
Potential retail area
Did you know that the Cow Hill Hall team have been hard at work to help make a huge new project a reality for the residents of Upper Achintore and the Plantation?
We have the collective ambition and goal of creating a space that the whole community can enjoy together. We want Cow Hill Hall to serve the growing number of residents in both Upper Achintore and the Plantation as a social, recreation and leisure space.
But we need your help.
To achieve our ambition, the first thing we need is to find a small number of residents with determination, interest and willingness to form a dedicated community-led organisation to develop the Cow Hill Hall. Could that be you? Do you know anyone who fits the bill?
We have access to training, support and resources for developing Cow Hill Hall’s board of trustees – we just need some new talent from our amazing community to form a suitable organisation.
